Yes they all work from below with memory wire. If you look at the signal thats not painted you will see a sq box this is an indicator box in this box is a set of glass plates with a number or order on each and when the signal comes of this pops up to tell the driver were hes going, loop or bay. We use white metal for the post and brkts, lost wax brass for the small parts and all the arms are etched. People tend not to build signals as you have to know about how they work and what they do thay means theres no std kit. We sell them as the railway would have done and thats you order std parts for the signal your building. Yes all the parts are std even the posts and were keept in one signaling store of the railway companie even the privet signal companies did the same only there brks would have been std to them but all fitted in to whitch ever railway used them.

Does the “linkage” work?
How were the semaphore “flags/paddles” created. I’m not familiar with the prototype- were they cast and if so what metal?
